What was Madhavrao's (Shama's) specific role when devotees wanted books blessed by Baba, and what was a common outcome?

📖 Chapter 27

Madhavrao, also known as Shama, often acted as an intermediary for devotees who wished to have books blessed by Sai Baba. Chapter 27 explains that because approaching Baba for this purpose required patience, devotees would bring Shama along to place the book in Baba's hands at an appropriate time. However, a surprising and common outcome was that Baba, after turning the pages, would not return the book to the original owner. Instead, he would often give it to Shama, instructing him to keep it, even as the devotees who brought it were eagerly stretching out their hands to receive it back. For example, Baba gave the book Viveksindhu to Shama.
