What was Hemadpant's unique writing habit, and how did it affect the completion of the Sai Satcharitra?

📖 Chapter 53

According to Chapter 53, Hemadpant was notably frugal and had a habit of never letting a scrap of paper go to waste. He wrote the chapters of the Sai Satcharitra on these scraps, which he then gave directly to the printer. The text suggests his noble intent was to redeem these "poor, lifeless scraps of paper" through the service of describing the "Lion among Saints." This habit became a complication after his death, as the final chapter was also written on such scraps. His son, Gajanan, had to make a great effort in researching these vast records, and even then, the promised summary was not found, necessitating a new author to complete the work.
