When the Sanyasi returned to Dahanu about a month later, much to Dev's surprise, his request was entirely different. Instead of asking for money for his cow protection initiative, he stated, "I haven't come for money; today we want a meal." Chapter 40 recounts that he asked for a meal for himself and two companions. Despite his initial suspicion about the Sanyasi's early return, Dev's reaction was one of hospitality. He welcomed the request, saying, "Come, it is a pleasure. Consider this your own home," and invited the trio to have a meal at his house at twelve o'clock.
