What was Dev's initial response when the Sanyasi first came to Dahanu asking for donations?

When the Sanyasi first approached Dev for a collection, Dev explained that it was not a favorable time. As detailed in Chapter 40, he informed the Sanyasi that another fundraising effort was already in progress in the town, led by Raosaheb Narottam Sheti and the Nagarseth. Because of this existing collection for the poor, Dev stated there was no room for another one. He advised the Sanyasi to leave and return to Dahanu after two to four months, when circumstances might be more favorable for his cause.
