What was Das Ganu trying to accomplish, and what major hurdle did he encounter?

📖 Chapter 20

Das Ganu was attempting to create a commentary on the Ishavasya Upanishad in simple Prakrit language, called the Ishavasya-Bhavartha-Bodhini, for those who were not proficient in Sanskrit. As Chapter 20 explains, although he completed a word-for-word translation, he found that he could not grasp the 'internal secret' or deep meaning of the text. This lack of profound understanding meant his mind 'found no joy' in the work. His struggle highlighted that intellectual effort alone was insufficient to comprehend the true essence of the Upanishads, leading him to seek the grace of his Guru, Sai Baba.
