What was Damu Anna's role in the Ram Navami festival at Shirdi?

Damu Anna played a significant role in the annual Ram Navami festival in Shirdi, as described in Chapter 25. He had made a vow to provide one of the two large new flags that were carried in a procession through the village. This was a regular vow he fulfilled for many years with great love and devotion.
