What was Baba's stated relationship with his devotees, and how did the practice of Dakshina relate to it?

๐Ÿ“– Chapter 14

Sai Baba expressed a profound and unique relationship with His devotees. He is quoted in Chapter 14 as saying, 'In the world, someone belongs to someone, and another to someone else; but here, no one is ours; our only one is Allah.' Yet, He also deeply valued love, stating, 'I lack only the one who loves Me as his very life; if he gives Me one quality, I give him a hundred qualities in return.' The practice of Dakshina served as a tangible expression of this love and surrender. By giving Dakshina, a devotee was not just giving money but offering their attachment and ego, and in return, Baba promised to give them a hundredfold, both materially and spiritually.
