What was Amir Shakkar commanded to do to overcome his rheumatism?

To overcome his rheumatism, Amir Shakkar was commanded by Sai Baba to undertake a trial of faith and endurance. As Chapter 22 narrates, he was ordered to live in the old, dilapidated Chavadi for a continuous period of nine months. This was a strict command, and he was even forbidden from going to the Masjid for Baba's vision. The cure was contingent on his obedience and belief.
