What spiritual activity did Sai Baba undertake in his final days before passing?

In the days leading up to his passing, Sai Baba engaged in a profound devotional practice. As described in Chapter 44 of the Shri Sai Satcharitra, knowing his end was near, Baba arranged for a Brahmin to recite the Ramayana to him. He listened with intense, focused contemplation for a continuous period of fourteen days and nights. This two-week period of listening to the sacred epic concluded on the day of Vijayadashami, which was the day Baba attained Mahasamadhi, or the state of bodilessness.
