Sai Baba placed great importance on the reading of specific divinely inspired books for the salvation of souls. As detailed in Chapter 18, the two main texts were the Bhagavad Gita, specifically the commentary known as Jnaneshwari or Bhavartha Deepika, and the Nath Bhagawat, which is the eleventh Skandha of the Bhagavat.
