What specific rituals did Sai Baba perform right before leaving the Masjid for the Chavadi?

Just before setting out for the Chavadi, Sai Baba performed a distinct set of actions. Chapter 37 details that after Tatya Patil had placed a golden-bordered shawl over Him, Baba would approach the wall where a bundle of firewood was kept. He would then move His right big toe at that specific spot for a moment. Following this, He would personally wave His right hand over the burning flame there, extinguishing it. Only after completing this ritual of interacting with the flame would Sai Baba actually start His journey to the Chavadi, at which point the procession would commence with music and festivities.
