What specific challenge did Ganudas face while translating the Ishavasya Upanishad, and why was his own effort insufficient?

📖 Chapter 20

Ganudas, also known as Das Ganu, undertook the task of creating a verse-commentary on the Ishavasya Upanishad in a simple Prakrit language. As detailed in Chapter 20, while he managed a word-for-word translation, he found no joy because he could not grasp the 'internal secret' and deep meaning of the text. His own scholarly effort was insufficient because the Upanishads, which contain the essence of the Vedas, are described as being very difficult to grasp without the grace of Hari (God) and a Guru. The text explicitly states that even at the end of an era, a scholar cannot comprehend the hidden truth on their own, as the path is difficult at every step without a Guru's grace.
