What specific books did Sai Baba encourage devotees to read in Shirdi, and who was in charge of the readings?

📖 Chapter 18

Sai Baba placed great importance on the daily reading of sacred texts for the spiritual benefit of his followers. According to Chapter 18, the two principal books emphasized were the Bhagavad Gita and the Bhagavat. More specifically, the texts read included Jnandeva's Bhavartha Deepika, a commentary on the Gita, and the eleventh Skandha of the Bhagavat, also known as the Uddhava Gita or Nath Bhagawat. Chapter 18 clearly states that Baba gave the specific assignment of conducting these daily readings to Sakharam Hari Jog, also known as Bapusaheb Jog. These devotional readings and their explanations took place in Sathe’s Wada, providing a great opportunity for devotees to immerse themselves in scripture.
