What specific acts of hospitality did Dev perform for his guests at the Udyapan, including the Sanyasi?

๐Ÿ“– Chapter 40

Chapter 40 provides a detailed account of the hospitality at Dev's Udyapan ceremony. After the Sanyasi and his two companions were "thoroughly satisfied" by the meal, Dev performed several traditional rituals. These included Uttaraposhan, which is a final sipping of water, and Shuddhachaman for rinsing the mouth. The guests were then given fragrant cool water to drink and Mukhashuddhi, or mouth fresheners. Finally, Dev showed great respect and joy by offering everyone sandalwood paste, flowers, betel leaves, perfume, and rosewater before they departed.
