The first meeting between Dixit and Madhavrao Deshpande was the culmination of a series of perfectly timed events. As Chapter 51 recounts, Dixit was in Ahmednagar, anxious for a guide to Shirdi. Simultaneously, Madhavrao was unexpectedly called from Shirdi to Nagar by a telegram about a supposed family illness.
