What sequence of events and omens led to Balabuva Satarkar performing the Kirtan in Shirdi?

The journey for Balabuva Satarkar began when his regular Ram Navami service at Kavthe was cancelled due to a plague, which Chapter 6 explains provided the opportunity to go to Shirdi. He then met with the devotee Dixit and expressed his wish to perform Kirtan for Sai Baba. During their conversation, Kaka Mahajani, who had just come from Shirdi, arrived unexpectedly and distributed Prasad and Udi. This was seen as a very good omen.
