What sacred books did Sai Baba encourage his devotees to read in Shirdi, and why were they considered so important?

📖 Chapter 18

Sai Baba placed great emphasis on the reading of several sacred books for the spiritual benefit of his devotees. According to Chapter 18, these included the Jnaneshwari (also known as Bhavartha Deepika), the Bhagavad Gita, and the Nath Bhagawat, which is the eleventh Skandha of the Bhagavat and contains the dialogue between Krishna and Uddhava. Baba assigned these readings for the "salvation of souls," believing that those who perform the reading with faith could attain God instantly. The Nath Bhagawat, in particular, is described as a "divinely inspired book" containing the "loving speech of Nath," which the merciful Sainath had read daily in Shirdi.
