What's the story behind the Baba portrait that Kakasaheb Dixit saw at Mirikar's house?

📖 Chapter 51

According to Chapter 51 of the Shri Sai Satcharita, the portrait of Sai Baba had a significant history. It was a photograph that Baba's devoted disciple, Megha, used to worship with great reverence. The glass on the portrait had broken, so it was sent from Shirdi to Nagar with Balasaheb for repairs. After being repaired, it was kept covered with a cloth in Mirikar’s drawing room. Its presence there was described as a strange and beautiful coincidence, as if it was waiting specifically for Kakasaheb Dixit, who was very eager for Baba's darshan. Balasaheb unveiled it and entrusted it to Madhavrao to accompany Dixit to Shirdi, allowing Dixit to travel in 'Baba's company'.
