Balabuva Satarkar, a renowned Haridas known as the 'Modern Tukaram', had a long-standing desire to have Sai Baba's Darshan. As detailed in Chapter 6, this opportunity arose when his annual Ram Navami Kirtan at Siddha-Kavthe was cancelled due to a plague outbreak. This cancellation of his usual service to Rama prompted him to seek out a visit to Shirdi. He met with Bhausahab Dixit, a great devotee of Baba, and expressed his wish to perform Kirtan there. After Dixit secured Baba's permission and assured him about the travel expenses, Balabuva came to Shirdi. He successfully performed the entire Ram Navami festival with great love and novelty, which pleased Sai Baba and fulfilled the desires of all the devotees present.
