Devotees would adorn him with various items like a crest, a golden crown, or a gold-embroidered dress. Garlands of diamonds, pearls, and emeralds were lovingly placed around his neck. Furthermore, some would wash his feet and offer worship with water, while others applied a fragrant musk mark to his forehead and placed a betel leaf, or tambool, in his mouth.
