What qualities does Chapter 48 say are NOT sufficient to be considered a Sadguru?

📖 Chapter 48

Chapter 48 of the Sai Satcharitra lists several qualities that, on their own, are insufficient for one to be called a Sadguru. The chapter mentions that wise men do not consider someone a Sadguru merely for their ability to study the Vedas, understand the six Shastras, or explain Vedanta. Furthermore, practices like controlling the breath (Pranayama), wearing heated marks (Taptamudra), or pleasing an audience with talks about Brahman do not automatically qualify someone. Even giving out mantras from scriptures is not a definitive sign, as such knowledge can be hollow without the guru's own self-experience, which this chapter deems essential.
