When Madhavrao Deshpande and Kakasaheb Dixit arrived at the station for the ten o'clock night train to Shirdi, they faced a significant obstacle. Chapter 51 explains that when the train arrived, they saw that the second-class compartment was completely packed to capacity. This situation caused them great worry, as there was very little time left to find a solution. They both decided that due to the crowd, they had no choice but to return and attempt the journey to Shirdi the next day. However, just at that moment, the train guard suddenly appeared. He turned out to be an acquaintance of Dixit and resolved their problem by making an arrangement for them to sit comfortably in the first-class compartment, allowing their journey to proceed as planned.
