What philosophical lessons about pride, humility, and Guruship are presented in Chapter 5?

📖 Chapter 5

Chapter 5 offers deep philosophical insights, particularly regarding pride and humility on the spiritual path. The narrative explains that one's own cleverness is useless and to achieve welfare, one must act without pride. It states, "He who has burned the pride of the body has made this body meaningful; he then can become anyone's disciple to achieve the supreme goal." This is exemplified by Sai Baba's own conduct; even though the Fakir was deluded, Baba maintained the attitude of "he is the Guru and I am the disciple," teaching a profound lesson. As Chapter 5 concludes, a person with a firm resolution to abandon pride is one who can climb the "fort of selflessness."
