What philosophical explanation does Chapter 23 offer for human suffering and the path to liberation?

📖 Chapter 23

Chapter 23 explains that the soul's true nature is Existence-Consciousness-Bliss (Sacchidananda), but it becomes deluded by Maya. This delusion causes the soul to forget its real self and identify with the body, leading to pride and the false belief of being the "doer" and "enjoyer." This, in turn, leads to a succession of calamities and distress. The chapter states clearly that the only way to calm these calamities and escape this suffering is through loving devotion (Bhakti Yoga) at the feet of a Guru. The Guru, like Sai Baba, can color the devotee in His own divine hue and guide them out of their delusion.
