What motivated the parents of the sick child to travel to Shirdi, and what was their plea to Sai Baba?

As detailed in Chapter 34, the parents decided to go to Shirdi as a final resort after all medical interventions failed to cure their son's bone-cyst. They had heard of a famous Avaliya (saint) in Shirdi, Sai Maharaj, who could supposedly heal diseases just by his sight. Believing this to be their last hope, they decided to try this remedy. Upon reaching Shirdi, they prostrated at Baba's feet and pleaded with choked voices and pitiful faces. They described their son's unbearable pain and their own exhaustion, asking Sai Samarth to place his protective hand on the boy's head and remove the ailment, having come to seek refuge with total devotion.
