What miracles did Baba perform that convinced Chand Patil he had met a saint?

Chapter 5 describes two specific events that made Chand Patil realize he was in the presence of an 'Avaliya' or saint. First, when Baba learned of the lost mare, he simply told Patil to search near the streams, and the horse was found immediately. Following this, when Baba needed to light his chillum, he performed a greater wonder. He thrust a pair of tongs (chimta) into the earth and pulled out a glowing ember, which he then placed on the chillum. These acts convinced Patil he was not in the presence of a mere human.
