What miracles did Baba perform for Chand Patil during their first meeting?

Chapter 5 of the Shri Sai Satcharitra details two specific wonders that Sai Baba performed for Chand Patil. The first occurred after Patil explained he was carrying a saddle because his mare was lost. Baba, demonstrating his divine insight, simply told him to "Go search near those streams," where the horse was found immediately. This amazed Patil, who recognized he was in the presence of a saint. The second miracle happened after Patil returned with the mare. As Baba prepared his chillum, he needed an ember. He took a pair of tongs, or 'chimta', thrust them directly into the earth, and pulled out a glowing ember to light the chillum, further cementing Patil's belief in his extraordinary power.
