What made Dev suspicious of the Sanyasi upon his second visit, and what did the Sanyasi actually want?

Dev became suspicious because the Sanyasi returned to Dahanu much earlier than they had agreed. Dev had specifically told him to come back after two to four months, but as Chapter 40 recounts, the Sanyasi reappeared in less than a full month. This led Dev to doubtfully wonder if the man had forgotten their conversation. Upon arriving at Dev's house, however, the Sanyasi quickly clarified his purpose. Seeing Dev's restlessness, he stated, "I haven't come for money; today we want a meal," revealing that his intention for this visit was not to collect donations but to receive a meal for himself and his two companions.
