What led Damu Shet Kasar to make a lifelong vow concerning the Ram Navami festival?

📖 Chapter 0

Damu Shet Kasar's personal circumstances directly led to his devotional vow for the Ram Navami festival. Chapter 0 explains that he was very unhappy because he was childless despite having two wives. On the advice of Madhavrao Deshpande's father-in-law, he sought out Maharaj for a blessing. After receiving Maharaj's blessing, his wish was fulfilled, and he had a son. This transformative experience fixed his faith completely. As an expression of his immense gratitude and devotion, he made a vow to bring a new flag to the Ram Navami festival each year and also to provide food for all the Fakirs gathered there, a tradition that was faithfully continued.
