Balasaheb Deo was led to his firm resolve after a prolonged and frustrating period of failure. As recounted in Chapter 41, he had a deep desire to read the Dnyaneshwari daily but was consistently thwarted by obstacles. His frustration grew to a point where he couldn't even manage to read five verses (Ovis) with any regularity. Being distressed and seeing his own efforts come to nothing, he surrendered his personal will. He concluded that his own resolution was not enough. This led him to make a rule for himself: he would only commence reading when he received a direct command from Sai Baba and when Sai himself provided the love and clarity needed to undertake the reading without confusion.
What led Balasaheb Deo to make the firm resolve to wait for Sai's direct order before reading the Dnyaneshwari?
