What is the 'Unmanifest' or 'causal body' and how is it related to liberation?

📖 Chapter 50

The 'Unmanifest' (Avyakruta), also known as the 'causal' (karana) body of the soul, is defined as that which is imbued with a reflection of consciousness and is the very cause of pure ignorance. As Chapter 50 explains, this ignorance of the Soul is the origin of this body. The only way to remove this causal body is through the knowledge of the unity of Brahman and the Soul. The text clarifies that achieving this knowledge leads to liberation, or Moksha, which is described as the state of abiding in one's own true form.
