What is the 'Unmanifest' or 'causal body' and how does one get rid of it?

๐Ÿ“– Chapter 50

The 'Unmanifest' (Avyakruta), also known as the 'causal' (karana) body of the soul, is described in Chapter 50 as that which is with the reflection of consciousness and is the cause of pure ignorance. This state is also referred to as 'Unevolved'. The text clarifies that the ignorance of the Soul is the cause of this body. The only way to achieve the removal of this causal body is through the realization of the unity between Brahman and the Soul. This profound knowledge alone dispels the ignorance, and this removal process is intrinsically linked to attaining liberation, or Moksha, which is defined as abiding in one's own true form.
