According to Chapter 50, the 'Unmanifest' (Avyakruta) is described as the causal (karana) body of the soul. It is characterized by pure ignorance and is considered the source from which the manifest world emerges. The text states that the ignorance of the Soul is the very cause of this unmanifest body. True liberation, or Moksha, is defined as 'abiding in one's own form.' This state can only be reached by removing this causal body, which is accomplished solely through gaining the knowledge of the unity between Brahman and the Soul.
