What is the true purpose of the human body, considering its described flaws?

📖 Chapter 8

While the human body is described in stark terms as impure and perishable—a 'house for worms,' a 'carriage of flesh, blood, and muscle,' and a 'prison for the soul'—its ultimate value is immense. As Chapter 8 explains, though this body is transient and an abode for diseases, it is the exclusive vehicle through which one can reach the Lord. The text advises us to see the body as a servant for spiritual progress, providing it with sustenance like food and clothing, but not pampering it to the point where it becomes a 'doorway to hell.' Its purpose is to be applied toward spiritual progress to overcome the cycle of birth and death.
