What is the story of Laxmichand and the khaja prasad?

The story of Laxmichand and the khaja prasad is a wonderful example of Sai Baba's leelas. As recounted in Chapter 28, during a pilgrimage to Shirdi, Laxmichand enjoyed some khaja (a sweet) that was served as prasad. He eagerly hoped for it again the next day, but it was not served, leaving his desire unfulfilled in his mind. On the third day, a devotee asked Baba what food offering to bring, and Baba specifically ordered a plate full of khaja. Later, Baba announced He felt like having khaja prasad and had it distributed. This fulfilled Laxmichand's lingering attachment, filling his heart with joy and cementing his love for Baba.
