What is the story behind the second flag brought for the Ram Navami fair by Damu Shet Kasar?

The story of the second flag is one of faith and answered prayers. As explained in Chapter 0, Damodar Savlaram, or Damu Shet Kasar, was deeply saddened because he had no son from either of his two wives. On the advice of Govindrao Sapkar, he sought Maharaj's blessing. Maharaj blessed him, and he was subsequently blessed with a son. This event firmly established his faith in Maharaj. In gratitude, Damu Shet took a vow to bring a new flag every Ram Navami and to feed all the Fakirs gathered there, a tradition that the text notes is still ongoing.
