The photograph of Sai Baba present at Mirikar's house had a special history. Chapter 51 explains that this portrait was originally worshipped with great devotion by Megha, who regarded it as the three-eyed Lord Shankar. The glass on the photograph had broken, so it was sent from Shirdi with Balasaheb Mirikar to Ahmednagar for repairs. After being fixed, the portrait was kept covered in Mirikar’s drawing room.
