What is the story behind the establishment of the annual fair on Ram Navami in Shirdi?

The idea for an annual fair, or Jatra, in Maharaj's honor was first proposed by his devotee Gopalrao Gund. As Chapter 0 recounts, he shared this idea with Tatya Patil, Dada Kote Patil, and Madhavrao Deshpande, who all liked the proposal and agreed to help organize it. However, they faced opposition from the local Kulkarni, who created obstacles that led to the collector issuing an order prohibiting the fair. Despite this, an order to hold the fair was eventually obtained. By Maharaj's own command, it was decided that the fair should be held on the day of Ram Navami, and this tradition has been managed by Tatya Ganpati Patil Kote and has continued ever since.
