What is the stated purpose of the invocations at the beginning of the Sai Satcharitra?

📖 Chapter 1

As explained in the first chapter of the Sai Satcharitra, the purpose of the auspicious invocations, or "Mangalacharan," is twofold. The primary reason given is for the removal of all obstacles to ensure the successful completion of the task of writing the book. The second purpose is to obtain the grace of the desired deities and fulfill the goal of narrating Sai's life. Chapter 1 explicitly states that "for a successful and obstacle-free completion, this traditional etiquette of bowing to the desired deity is adopted for attaining auspiciousness." The author offers salutations to Ganapati, Saraswati, and others for this very reason.
