According to the preface in Chapter 0, the Sadguru accepts service from devotees through books, one method being having biographies written and studied. When a writer creates a detailed poetic Guru biography, they are performing Guru service. Furthermore, when other devotees study and perform Parayans (devotional readings) of that work, the writer gains the merit of serving God within humanity (Jan-Janardan) and public service. For the devotees who read the biography, they are also able to achieve the purpose of their lives, making the act significant for both the author and the reader.
What is the spiritual significance of writing and reading a detailed biography of a Guru?
