What is the significance of viewing the Guru as Brahman, and what does this lead to?

📖 Chapter 45

According to Chapter 45, viewing the Guru as the true Brahman is a pivotal step for a spiritual seeker. This practice is part of a larger process that includes discriminating between the eternal and the transient, and renouncing the fruits of worldly enjoyment. The text explicitly states, "Brahman is eternal, the world is transient; the Guru alone is the true Brahman." By meditating only on the Guru with this understanding, a constancy of feeling is developed. This ultimately gives rise to "undifferentiated worship" (Abheda-bhajan), a state where the seeker begins to perceive divinity in all beings, recognizing the Sadguru as a solid mass of Brahman-consciousness.
