What is the root cause of the cycle of birth and death (Samsara) as explained in Chapter 37, and what is the path to liberation?

Chapter 37 of the Shri Sai Satcharitra identifies the root cause of the eternal cycle of worldly existence, or Samsara, as a fundamental ignorance. This ignorance manifests as the deluded knowledge of difference—the belief that "Parabrahman is different from me; I am not that." This sense of separation from the ultimate, all-pervading reality is what subjects a soul to the relentless cycle of death following birth and rebirth following death.
