What is the root cause of being trapped in the cycle of worldly existence (Samsara) as explained in Chapter 37?

As detailed in Chapter 37, the primary cause of being subjected to the eternal cycle of worldly existence, or Samsara, is a deluded understanding of one's true nature. The text states that the Parabrahman, or Supreme Reality, pervades everything from the creator down to a blade of grass. However, when a soul is deluded by ignorance, it develops a knowledge of difference, thinking, "Parabrahman is different from me; I am not that, I am something else."
