What is the role of detachment in achieving the state of Brahman, and what does this detachment entail?

📖 Chapter 17

According to Chapter 17, detachment is fundamental to being consecrated in the state of Brahman. This detachment is not just from the objects of this world but also from the next, extending up to the state of Hiranyagarbha. It involves renouncing the enjoyment of the fruits of one's actions and the dualities of joy and sorrow. By slowly turning the heart back from worldly objects and stabilizing it in the form of the Self, one can acquire this knowledge. This turning away from worldly objects allows the senses to become oriented toward the Self, revealing true happiness.
