What is the role and nature of a Sadguru as described in Chapter 16 of the Sai Satcharitra?

๐Ÿ“– Chapter 16

Chapter 16 portrays the Sadguru as a being whose desires are always fulfilled (Aptakama) and who, in turn, fulfills the disciple's desire for service, ultimately making the disciple desireless. The Sadguru accepts offerings made with sincere faith and love but turns away from anything offered with pride. While he is an ocean of Truth, Consciousness, and Bliss, unconcerned with mere rituals, he enjoys them when performed with genuine faith. As this chapter explains, the Sadguru is the most generous giver, offering the 'Unthinkable Object' (Brahman) to his devotee, a gift that surpasses any worldly treasure. Ultimately, he has taken a physical body for the sole purpose of helping others and uplifting the poor and lowly.
