What is the relationship between desire, bondage, and the manifestation of the Self?

According to the wisdom shared in Chapter 37, desires are the direct cause of bondage and the engine of the cycle of rebirth. The text explains that as long as desires persist, the cycle of rebirth moves with unhindered speed. This bondage is only pacified when these desires cease. The Self, in this context, does not need to be created but simply revealed. The scripture uses the analogy of the sun, which shines by its own light once clouds move away. Similarly, when the bondage of body-consciousness and desire is completely destroyed, the Self manifests effortlessly, allowing a mortal to become immortal.
