What is the purpose of saints taking birth on earth, as explained in the Satcharitra?

As stated in Chapter 23, the incarnations of saints happen on this earth out of benevolence, specifically for the salvation of dull-witted souls. This act is considered a grace of the Almighty. The text further elaborates that only if a person has accumulated merit (Punya) will a desire even arise in their heart to hear the stories of saints. Listening to these stories is presented as a way to attain happiness and contentment, a path made accessible by the benevolent presence of saints on earth.
