What is the primary teaching in Chapter 23 regarding the human soul's condition and the path to overcoming its distress?

๐Ÿ“– Chapter 23

Chapter 23 of the Shri Sai Satcharitra explains that the human soul, in reality, is beyond the three gunas and is of the nature of Existence-Consciousness-Bliss (Sacchidananda). However, it becomes deluded by Maya, causing it to forget its true nature and identify with the body, leading to the false notion of being the 'doer' and 'enjoyer.' This delusion results in a succession of calamities and distress. The chapter states that the only way to calm these calamities and escape this cycle is through loving devotion, or Bhakti Yoga, at the feet of the Guru. This devotion allows the Guru, like the great actor Shri Rang (Sai), to color the devotee in His own divine hue.
