What is the primary distinction between the paths of Shreya and Preya as explained in Chapter 17?

According to the teachings in Chapter 17 of the Shri Sai Satcharitra, the paths of Shreya and Preya are fundamentally opposite in nature, much like light and darkness. Shreya is defined as the Path of Salvation or the Good, representing pure Knowledge (Vidya) and wisdom. In contrast, Preya is the Path of Worldly Joy or the Pleasant, which is equated with pure Ignorance (Avidya) and a lack of discrimination. The chapter explains that an individual whose mind is drawn towards Preya, which involves craving worldly objects, ultimately falls away from their true self-interest, whereas the wise are never deluded by it.
