What is the primary cause of fear and misunderstanding in the world, according to Baba's teachings?

📖 Chapter 50

According to the teachings in Chapter 50, the primary cause of fear and misunderstanding is ignorance, also referred to as Avidya. This ignorance acts like a veil or darkness that covers our intellect, leading to false perceptions. A classic example given is mistaking a simple rope on a path for a venomous snake in the dim light of evening. This misperception creates immense fear, but it is purely a product of ignorance. As Chapter 50 explains, when knowledge, like a secret lamp, is lit through instruction, the darkness vanishes, the true form of the rope is revealed, and the fear disappears. This illustrates how ignorance is the root foundation of the deceptive world and its related suffering.
